SCX20 with Navnet TZtouch14 (version 1)

Hi all,

Im considering adding SCX20 to my current system, purely with anticipation of smoothing out the sounding or provide "Heave Compensation".

Prior to purchasing I wanted to confirm compatibility with current system:
TZT14 Navnet Tztouch - version One
GP330b GPS Receiver
DFF1 Network Fish Finder
SS264N-20 200khz transducer
SS264W-20 50khz transducer
Navpilot 711 (FAP7011)
PG700 Fluxgate sensor

Is there any other benefits of the SCX20 with the above system?

Nice system you have. Yes, the DFF1 will support heaving data from the SCX20. The autopilot will also benefit from the improved heading offered by the SCX20 so I suggest making it your primary source. The radar ARPA and radar overlay will greatly benefit from the SAT compass.

Hi Johnny,

I have an almost identical setup on my boat with the only difference being the transducers. I'm going to add a SCX20 in a month or so. Can the SCX-20 be setup from the 711 or the TZT14? Neither of those units seem to be listed in the setup section of the manual. Just trying to figure out if I need a computer handy to set it up.

It shouldn't need any setup but the TZT14 and Navpilot 711 can not setup the compass. If a setup setting is required it would need to be done by another method such as a PC with interface.
