SC-33 Location

Is it going to create an issue to mount an SC-33 on a tower sunshade where it is high up and thus the motion is increased in rough conditions.

Do you have a photo? I don't think you will have a problem higher up because they put them up towers on fishing boats and at the tops of Vikings without any problems.

That is exactly my situation although the boat is a little smaller (40') than many of the sportfishing boats that have the satellite compass. However, the mounting location is also not nearly as high as some of the big boats. The sunshade is about 22' off the water. It certainly will give the clearest sky view of any possible location on my boat.

absolutely a perfect location. Very nice lay out. You won't have any problems at all.

Thanks. It is a little big but I think the advantages will be worth it to have more accurate heading and position data and sounder heave compensation. Now all I need is for a "TZT 3" with 17" display and maybe an updated DFF3 sounder to appear in time for late spring!

I won't comment about the new equipment other than to say that I am excited. When you get the SC33, check the sensor list and ensure the software is 1.03. You will need the new version for heaving. If it hasn't been updated, it is easy to do but you will need to contact support or PM me.
