RF grounding of FI70s

I have two Furuno FI70s and a Furuno MFD. All call for an RF "drain, shield, ground" or whatever term one might prefer. My question is whether it is acceptable practice to daisy chain the braided ground wires among the instruments, or should they each have a separate ground to the RF ground plate?

thanks, SV Arcturus

I am. As far as II can tell, the installation instructions don't say that the N2K shield replaces the separate RF grounding for the MFD or the two small displays.

If you speak of the fly nut grounds on the back of the units these are chassis grounds and should be individually bonded directly to a bonded system, never daisy chained. If you don't have a good bonded system on the boat, then better not connect than be adding an antenna for noise. The NMEA 2000 shield should be grounded. The NMEA 2000 testers will never pass unless it is. That is a common issue found on many installs. You are asking the smart questions. Well done.
