remote app for apple iOS

Is there any plans to update the remote app for the TZT2 units to allow control from apple devices? I need a wireless remote to control my 711C autopilot through the TZT2 interface and would prefer to not have to purchase an android device to allow this.

The short answer is yes. There are plans for the remote app to work with the TZT2 like it does with the TZT system. The app isn't what needs changing. It requires software changes to the MFD. Plans can always change but my understanding is that it should work with the next TZT2 software release.
