Real world performance of B175HW vs B175L

Can use some help on a transducer. The goal is looking for tuna/dolphin/wahoo in the top 350' of the water column. Can the B175HW be relied upon for that depth or would the B175L be better?

The actual depth is up to 2,000 feet but I keep the sounder zoomed into the top 300 or 350 feet. Sounder is UHD.

Thank you very much

Adeotec,
I am curious, do you only plan to use one transducer?

Just temporarily. The plan is to install a larger pocket mount down the road. The B175 will either be removed or repurposed if possible. The B175HW sounds great but I'm concerned about real world performance between 200-300'. Traditionally we trolled on 50khz simply due to cone angle so reading fish in a few hundred feet wasn't usually a problem.

The HW sounds like the best of both worlds if it can actually show tuna and bait at those depths. That's my concern.

Thanks

Adeotec,
From my testing you are probably pushing the limits of the B-175HW. Below are a few screen shots of a 275 which has the same element as the 175HW.

Snips, thanks for the reply. I decided it didn't make sense to try and install a transducer for a short time period. Thanks.
