I currently have a 1835 4kw dome radar that uses a RDP-152 display unit. Can I purchase a RSB0070-0059 49" 6kw open array unit as an upgrade?

Yes, you can use the RS0070-059 radar. It would change the display into being a 1945 radar model. You would need to change the model type in the settings and ensure that you pick the -059 RTR not the -059A.
