I have an RDP 139 that I purchased to install on my Luhrs. I installed it along with an ETR 6/10 which I hooked up to the old transducer that was in my FCV582L and my Radar Power Supply which is an PSV 005 (not hooked up yet).

When I installed the GPS antenna it didn't pick it up. I went into the programming and did a reset and it started working. I accidentally left my data card in and now it won't read it. Did I erase it???

Second problem I am having is getting the depth finder to work. I know the transducer is good since it was working on the FCV582L unit. The light on the ETR blinks like it should but the RDP139 doesn't see it. I have hooked it into both the Data port and the Network port without success. I went it no the port programing and tried to install it with the name SOUNDER. It will not accept the name.

I can't wait to hook up the radar. If it is this much fun for the easy stuff I can just imagine how that is going to be.

Did I erase it???

No you can not erase a read only map card.

It could be that the map covers an area different than your boat is now located (now that you have GPS).

Your sounder would connect to the network port not a normal NMEA port. It might be best you contact Tech Support while at the boat to help you troubleshoot the issue. Normally you must power up the unit holding menu so you can access the proper setup screens.

I am usually only on the boat weekends. Is the tech support line open on Saturday or Sunday? If so what would be the number to call?

Many Furuno dealers offer weekend hours. (prices vary) Free tech support (even for older products like yours) is offered by Furuno USA during the week over a 12 hour period each day; for Furuno USA customers. Those outside Furuno USAs sales and support area should contact the Furuno distributor in their respective area.

OK, got the depth finder working. It reads well even on plane but it will not give a temp reading or digitally show me the depth. I set the screen to show both boxes along the bottom. Both show 0. I know the transducer has temp as it worked well on my FCV582. Am I missing something else? I played with every setting I could find while I was offshore last Saturday and could not get it to do anything.

It sounds like you have your depth and temp source settings incorrect in your setup of the NavNet 1 display unit. Ensure both the TEMP and DEPTH sources are setup to look at your sounder (ETR).
