RD-33 to display Simrad rudder angle

I saw an old post describing the problems with Simrad and PGN 127245 not displaying on the RD-33 due to Simrad (deliberately?) messing with the device instance number. I have a mostly Simrad system on my boat and just upgraded to their NAC3 autopilot with RF25N NMEA2000 rudder indicator. I also added a RD-33 because I love the rudder angle display. Much to my disappointment, it is not working and this post from 2016 describes why.

Has anyone found a work-around since then?

Other than the solution used on the thread you found; I don't think they have ever corrected their PGN. You might ask them if they have newer software that corrects the PGN but I haven't heard of anything that does.

How about the possibility of using an Actisense NGW-1 to convert the PGN 127245 to a NMEA 1083 RSA sentence and sending that to the RD33 via the optional 0183 cable?
