RD-30 Loss of depth

Good morning,

We have a Full sins package including RD30, RDP 149, RDP 148 and a DFF1.

We have 2 of the same vessels 1 works great the other has an issue that the RD30 will loose depth and the only way to get it back is to reset the RDP 148 even though the 148 will display depth no problem.

both are set up the same.

any thoughts.

Configuration or NMEA level version mismatch most likely.
For example you can't take data 3 from the 7" over to the RD30 without a proper level converter. the 7" data 3 output is RS232 and the RD30 input is RS422. To know for sure I would need to see your specific drawings and NMEA sentences setup. You must ensure you don't allow any data loops. it would be best that you contact tech support with your specific wiring and setup.
