Radome compatibility

I am looking to purchase a set of Navnet vx2 screens, a 10.4" & 7" from someone who recently upgraded. The radome he is including in the package is a 24", which is much too large for the mast on my boat. Can someone tell me which Furuno radomes are compatible in an 18" diameter? I found a used RSB 0087, R070 but I have not been able to determine if it would work with the vx2 system.

Neilio,

The Dome/Assy that you are looking for is the RSB0094-075 which is the smaller 1824 2.2kW 18" Radome for use with the NAVNET 10.4" & 7 Displays.

Happy Hunting.! :wink7

When he says that, the 7" works via this radar when it is connected to the 10.4". You can not connect the RSB0094-075 directly to the 7". If you want a radar to directly to connect to the 7", you would need RSB0087-070.

We have a RSB0087-070 with RDP131 with an outdated Navionics map (need Maine...can only find from 2004). We are trying to figure out what pieces to upgrade - Sounds like we can reuse the RSB0087-070 with a more up to date display? When you are referring to 7"...what part number should we look at to ensure that it works with our RSB0087-070? Thank you in advance!!

The RSB0087-070 with the RDP131 is called the 1722C NavNet radar. (NavNet Series one from ~ 2002). You could talk to your dealer to have the Navonics unit reprogrammed to C-map where they still sell current charts or upgrade the display to a Vx2 model. The Vx2 7" display would work with that scanner. You would be looking for the RDP148.

Thank you very much! We will check into having it reprogrammed to C-map. And will be on the look out for a RDP148. Or we might upgrade the whole thing...new to this so very much appreciate the guidance!
