Based on your requirements I would recommend the DRS6A-NXT. If fishing and finding birds was your primary use I would suggest the other, but the solid state DRS has a pretty decent bird mode for the times you needs it. Best of all will be lower power consumption, and our Doppler Target Analyzer feature.

For Commercial Fishing and the Big Sport Fishing Applications, I would recommend using one of the DRS X-Class radars.
For the Recreational/Sport Fishing vessels, I would use the DRS4D-NXT or the DRS6A-NXT radars. All the radars will find birds, however the X-Class has a little better Bird Detection on the longer ranges, and the NXTs have the terrific function that we call: "Target Analyzer".
