Radar problem with RDP-149

Hello everyone, I have a problem with two RDP-149s and an RSB-0094-RTR-057 radar sensor.
The first RDP has the serial number 4345-8619 and the second 4345-1960.
The software versions are: for the first 04.01.06 and for the second 01.08.04.
The problem is that the second RDP with serial number 1960 correctly displays the radar targets,
while the one with serial number 8619 controls the radar in all its functions but does not display the radar targets.
In my opinion the problem lies in the different software version.
Has anyone had a similar experience and have any advice to give...

Connect the RADAR to the 8619 serial number only. Set the RADAR SOURCE to this device. Also in installation mode set the Monitor mode to OFF. Also set the Antenna type to A (RSB0094-075). After setting these settings turn the unit off and back on, see what you have now.

Titanic hello, thanks for the reply. Yes, I know the procedure you described to me. But I'm afraid it's my fault, I explained myself badly. I connect the scanner 0094-057 once directly to a display with the display with serial number 8619 which has a different software version, (04.01.06) and it works well. If I disconnect the radar and connect to the second display with serial number 1960 which has different software (01.08.04) the scanner allows me all the operations, even the settings in the menu etc... it dirty the screen, but without showing the targets. that's the problem. I think it's the software version.

Do you plan on putting both these displays n the same network? If so, connect the RADAR to the one that works and network the two together and see if they both display RADAR targets. Also, if you are going to network the displays they should be at the same software version. Please run the display unit test on both and get a picture of the test screens so I can get you the correct software package.

no they will not go to the same network. these are two different boats, in different places.
the radar head is from one of the two, boats that has its RDP-149, serial 8619 and works on it.

If I connect the same radar to another RDP-149 serial 1960, brought on board for testing.
But it has a different software version, everything works, scale settings change commands.
MIC noise on the display. but no targets.
I think it could just be a problem with the different software version.
The MFDs are identical. One is C-map the other is navionics.
But I don't think it matters to the radar.
As soon as I have the chance to get back on board I will take some demonstrative photos.

The other thing to try is a reset of the RADAR settings (they are retained in the RDP). It has the settings of whatever RADAR is was connected to prior. That being said, to clear the RADAR settings proceed as follows....

1st: Make sure the Device and the RADAR source are the same, basically making sure the RDP is looking at its' own RADAR connected to the RDP.
2nd. INSTALLATION MODE Turn the unit OFF and while OFF press and hold the MENU key and turn the unit back ON, hold the MENU key until the SELECT MODE screen comes up. Choose INST MODE.
3rd. Menu, system config, installation setup, RADAR setup.
4th. Choose next page.
Press and hold the 4th softkey (the 5 keys down the right-hand side of the screen). While holding the 4th key in press CLEAR 5 times.

Enter installation mode again and go to RADAR SETUP, set the antenna type to A.
TX the RADAR and see what you get.

Titanic hello, yes the reset option was the first operation I did.
Precisely to prevent previous installations from creating problems.
I set all the parameters of the radar address (172.031.003.001)
antenna type (A) exactly like the other RDP that works.
But no targets are shown, while on the first RDP it shows targets.
The only difference is in the software version. between the two. 01.08.04 in one, and 04.01.06 in the second.
In my opinion this is what it's about.
I will look into the available software versions.
