Radar DRS2dNXT dome

The 19" dome for the radar has 4 screws on the base. If I release the screws, will the cover come apart or is there an additional trick to separate the cover from the base?

Reason I ask, so I can plug in a data line. I am concerned that I will have an issue getting the connection line up the mast conduit and I will need to proved power and data in separate cables. Thank you for your help with this query.

If the 4 bolts are released, the upper cover will come off. It is a bit difficult to come off, but it does. If you have something like a car trim removal tool, gently pry it apart. Also note that there is a triangle set that you'll need to line up (top and bottom of dome) when putting it back together.

Thank you. The concern I had was that the manufacturer had glued the pieces together. Good idea to use a trim tool to release the parts.

That dome suction can be very strong at times. Agree that if you don't have good fingernails a trim tool is a great idea.
