Question on Backing up Equipment Settings

After going to settings-file-backup settings It says no items? Not sure what I am doing wrong. There should be something there.

Do you have a USB memory stick inserted?

Johnny I did have a usb stick inserted in the cable coming out of the back.. I know I have some way points on the unit. Could it be a bad USB stick? I want to update, but don't want to lose what I have. Will wait for some ideas.

You want to have a backup of your waypoints as a general rule, even if not upgrading the software. Yes, a memory stick that someone has formatted in Apple or NTSF format would be a problem. Normally you don't format them, but if formated we would normally do so in FAT file format. (FAT/FAT16/FAT32) You might try diffrent media. Do you have more than one unit? The waypoint database is synced between all units on the bus. If you have a bad USB cable you could always try backing them off of the other unit.

Thanks. I only have one unit. I will buy a new USB stick. It was from a mac, so maybe that is the problem.
