Problem getting engine data on 1871F

I've had a new repower with twin Suzuki DF140BG's with twin SMG4 digital gauges. I added my new Furuno 1871F and connected it to an NMEA 2K network I setup with both of the SMG4's networked. The SMG4's are receiving the position data from the 1871F and that looks good. But, I can't get the instruments screen or the network data to show anything from the engines. I'd like to at least get the tachometers to show. In the data sources lists in the 1871F the SMG4's appear as data sources but there is no field for the tachometers. Also, when I select to show the instruments screen, which did not show up by default on the 1871F, it comes up and says "No Data". The NMEA monitor screen shows data going back and forth on the network. I've checked the SMG4's and they say they are auto-sharing all of their data on the network. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks!

SMG4s do not comply with NMEA 2000 specifications and can be quite troublesome. They will work fine on 9/10 boats and not work at all on the 10th. The SMG4s do not differentiate themselves or the engine data with an instance number, resulting in the data looking like the same singular device outputting slightly different data.

Well, Ok. I guess I was being dumb. I was only looking at the 1st of the 6 pages of instrument data on the 1871F and, since it was on compass-only, it showed "no-data" and nothing else. I discovered that I had to toggle to another one of the pages that already had the tachometer field displayed. Then, of course, I taught myself that all I had to do with any of the instruments pages was to tap, and then select "edit" and I could then change the field to any field including the engine fields and it would then display the engine data. So, I had no problems all-along just user error. I'll leave this up in case it helps someone else sometime.
