Powering On Multiple MFDs

Why isn't there the ability to have all the units on a network power on if one is started? The power off can be done for the whole network on the menu that comes up when the power button is tapped so there is clearly some switching signal sent over the network. My 2008 NavNet 3D system had this function (with the Furuno ethernet hub) yet 12 years later it is gone.

Not a huge deal but definitely a "nice to have" feature that the other manufacturers incorporate.

Power down is a simple process of sending out a software command to all the units "everyone time to shut off" and that is done, and works well. Powering up is much more complex because all the machines are powered OFF and not working or listening to the bus. With NN3D this was done by "Power Sync" and it was a special feature. That was confusing to customers and required the HUB101 and 8 wire cables. It was done away with moving into the TZT. It isn't like this change is new with TZT3. It has been gone for a long time. If everything turns ON it would be a larger power draw than most people want, every single time. Power down command saves you from running all over the boat to power MFDs off (useful). For power up, really if you are going up to that location to use the unit, it is just as easy to turn it on yourself and save all the power draw of the times you don't need it. I am glad power sync was removed. If you want to power up something remotely, TZT3 has two wires on the multi cable that a simple monetary switch can be wired to; to do that.
