I have a TZ 9 and TZ 14 along with the GPS/Sirus equipment installed. The electrical was fed directly from my 12 volt switch, so I noticed when at anchor with the system turned off it still draws two (2) amps. Which over a few days at anchor adds up! Does anyone know if it is harmful to shut off power? Like wiring through a breaker and turning it all off there?

I have a TZT9 on my boat and after I turn the unit off by its own front panel power switch, I then shut it down by a breaker on my panel. It won't cause your TZT any harm to fully shut it down by a breaker, so feel free to install a breaker inline if you are concerned about excess power consumption.
