overlay on vx2 ??

got the vx2 communicating with the garmin, the plotter works even shows target coordinates on the radar but it won’t let me do the overlay, can’t even click on it in the hot page, am i missing something on the settings???

The unit must have heading (not to be confused with COG from GPS) to do overlay. Have you wired in a good source of heading? (Like flux gate compass from an autopilot or sat compass)
