Optimal Setting DFF1-UHD w/ B275LHW

Moonzy1,
TVG stands for Time Varied Gain, I think DVG or Depth Varied Gain is a better way to describe it. This setting has a range of 0-9 and 5 is the default. Just so you can see what affect it has go out to about 100ft of water and change this setting from 5 to 0 and watch what happens. Then then 0 to 9. You will see that the higher the setting the more you will see. For most, a setting of 5 is OK.

Moonzy1,
Thanks for the screen shots. Next time out try using a black back ground, I think you will find you will be able to see your target better.

Yellowfin Tuna on temp break. Notice the black temp Line going up and down in the shots. This was a hard 3.2 deg break. Shots going up, and down.

I have full confidence in this machine now that noting is getting by me and am comfortable changing settings on the fly to suit conditions.

Thanks for your help.

Moonzy1,
Thanks for the update and screen shots. Interesting to see the fish hanging around the temperature breaks. Did you know you can program the TZT2 to take screen captures using the gesture function?

Moonzy1,
It should be the first item in the General menu. See below, just put thumb drive in the USB pigtail.

So you have to have the USB stick already in when you take a screen shot ?

There is no internal memory for Screenshots?

Moonzy1,

Yes, if you want to capture any of the Screen Shots you must have a Data Stick connected to the USB Port. I also recommend going to [GENERAL], select the [Two Finger Long Tap Function] for use of your Screen Captures. You must use a Data Stick as no images are retained internally to TZT2 or TZT3.

I hope this information helps..? ;)
