Old 582l needs a transducer

My old trusty 582l needs a new tranducer. The current damaged one is a 525STID triducer.

I really dont want another "paddlewheel" unit that gets fouled!

Just need 50/200 plus temperature. Is the 525T-BSD my best choice, or would the 526T be worth the extra money?

Some day I will upgrade the head unit, but it just keeps going!

Thanks for any ideas

How deep do you fish most of the time?

The 525T-BSD is good for coverage compared to the 526TID-HDD. The 526TID-HDD would be better for deeper waters.

Thanks for the reply Kicker.

We fish in Indonesia and Thailand, about 70% of the time we just surface troll. Longer trips, we try to fish seamounts or pinnacles.

Maximum practical depth for us is about 300 ft.

I believe I could do better going deeper, but I have a cruising sailboat and it's always madness with the two of us on board. :angry

The price for a 526TID-HDD and having a little more energy on a target and less coverage would not be worth it for me in this case.
