NN3D integration with VHF

Third of three.

This isn't a "problem" per se. I finally got my MMSI updated in my VHF and AIS (Canadian boat imported to USA), and so I'm digging into functionality. I think this is not fixable -- both my VHF and NN3D are too old, I think. The NN3D pushes GPS data to the VHF on 0183, I think.

Here's the question. I understand that on some systems, you can select an AIS target on the screen, and select a menu feature to push the MMSI to the VHF to hail the target. Is that implemented on the NN3D? It's not in the manual at all, so I suspect not.

My VHF is a Icom IC-M504, and I think that it won't listen even if the NN3D sends the info.

The pushing of direct calling from the NN3D is not a feature. This feature was added later in newer systems with Furuno radios but not an option with NN3D regardless of radio. Good question.
