Hey guys, wealth info here I have used by searching and browsing but want to post the system I am hoping to install in a new build center console. The MFG deals mostly in Garmin and simrad so I want to do my due diligence early in the process. My background as a merchant marine officer and now as harbor pilot I really appreciate the Furuno brand's reliability and quality and want the most robust system for this boat.
my hope is you guys can make sure my plan makes sense and point out and issues in compatibility.
2x TZTXL10'S
1 DRS4D-NXT Radome
(above 3 components networked together via ethernet, use ethernet hub if necessary, NMEA CONNECTIONS FROM BOTH MFD'S)
Sidescan ducer, through hull, single tss904 connected DIRECTLY to UNIT 1
Regular down transducer, chirp, B195HW (1kw) connected directly to UNIT 2
Confirm no network fish finder processor is needed...my interpretation is these lower power units do not need one.
Navipilot 300pg autopilot including pump/FAP-3013/PG700 connected via NMEA to backbone/nmea hub
3RD Party vhf, with with ais receiver connected to NMEA
Thoughts, opinions? would be happy to hear.
