New GPS Antenna

I recently replaced the defunct GP310 with a digital Yacht GPS 160, as the old antenna could not pick up the satellite date and time any more.
Whilst the Navnet vx2 plotter picks up fix data from the GPS 160 much faster than the GP310 on start up, a) there is a significant lag in updating SOG compared with iPad and Ais data, b) when I go into the GPS status option in setup, the time and date are displayed but no satellite data. Any thoughts on the two.

SkyView will not work with third party GPS antennas.
Menu - System Config - Nav Option - GPS Sensor Settings - Spd/Cse Smoothing. Is this set to 0?

Position smoothing set at 20 sec, have changed to 0 will see how we get on. Can’t move the boat though until Friday, storm bound in western France

I would recommend getting with Digital Yacht who makes that product and see if there is newer firmware or any reason why the updates are coming so slow. Hopefully they have a setting or solution.
