NAVPILOT300 NMEA 2000 voltage

Hello,

I'm in the process of installing/wiring a new Furuno system with a TZTL12F, NavPilot300 with PG700 heading sensor. The manuals show the NMEA 2000 network power as 15V, with the TZTL12F having 15V output power available on the MULTI cable.

I have an existing NMEA 2K backbone with 12V power. Do I need to add a power isolator and have the Furuno devices on 15V? Or will the Furuno devices work with the existing 12V?

Thank you

NMEA 2000 operational standard is 9-16 volts. 12 volts is normally available on many boats, so that is what is used to fit the requirements. The 15v you speak of on the Multi-cable of the TZTL12F is an Input NOT an output. It is only for special installation cases and typically not used for most average installs. I recommend you ignore that on the TZT2 and wire your NMEA 2000 bus power to your 12v battery system.
