NavPilot 700 software update

Trying to update my NavPilot software and understand I can’t do it on a 64 bit computer, Question:
Is there any way to make a 64 bit OS work?
Will a 32 bit chrome OS work?

You can't use chrome. It can be done with 64 bit Windows OS, because my PC is 64 bit Windows 10 Pro and it works. Please make sure you successfully install the driver first.

I attempted the install both a 64 bit Windows 10 machine but couldn’t get the driver to install. When I plugged the chord into the computer it beeped like it recognized something new was plugged in but never allowed me an option to install the driver...

Any hints?

If might have loaded automatically. You can try the update but if it doesn't work, you most likely need to load the diver manually. You should also turn off any firewalls or anti-virus programs that can block your ports from working. Here is a sample link to load drivers manually.

If you have a driver loaded you should see “NAVpilot700” show up at device manager when the cable is plugged in and the pilot is ON.

Do you know where in the device list I will find “NAVpilot700” listed under? IE system device? Network adaptor? etc etc

As far as I remember it shows up either under PORTS (COM & LPT) or Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
