Navpilot 300 processor shield wire

I’m installing A/P 300 processor. The power cord has 3 wires. One is a shield wire. Do I connect it to ground? I’ve read it should be left floating on other websites. The installation manual doesn’t cover it. Do I ground it or leave it floating?

I’m thinking it should be grounded, but want to make sure before I do it
