NavNet vx2 SW Update

I am in the process of updating the SW on my system. I successfully updated the SW in the 10.4" Display Unit (1834C).

On the lower helm, the MU-115C MFD still shows the older SW version. Instructions are also provided to update the vx2 BB. Is the BB the RPU? If so, should I update the RPU as well? A card slot is available in this unit and is where I insert the C-Map card. I assume that the MU-115C connects directly to the RPU-15.

Thanks in advance.

Lower Helm
- MU-155C MFD
- RD-30
- NavPilot 500

Upper Helm
- NAVnet VX2 C-Map Max SD (RPU-15)
- 1834C Plotter (RDP-149, S/N 4323-5307)
- NavPilot 511
- RD-30
- Marine Radar 1xx4c (tbd).

It sounds like you have a black box processor. The RPU014 is NavNet Series one and RPU015 is NavNet Vx2. If it is a Vx2, the software is updated at the RPU map card slot directly on the processor. The software needed is not the same as the 10.4". You will need to download the software and instructions under the model number of the blackbox system. (ie. 1934CBB/NT)

Thanks for the quick reply! How do I determine the model number from this placard? It is the only identification on the BB.

Model number will be based on the connected radar and it's power. If you use the c-map vx2 software for 1944CBB/NT; it would be suitable regardless of what radar your running.
