1. What does this dialog continue to show when I have clearly "checked the box"?
2. Also, NOT a fan of having to enter a password when booting up my 16XL, simply because I have a remote touchscreen? I'm not in the EU and don't give a flying fig about their rules.

You can turn off the password required at start up. I just got my unit and the installer showed me that and how to get rid of a password entirely. But playing with settings some require a password to make a change so you end up making one anyway to make those changes.

Great! Thanks! I was able to turn off the password and the #1 16XL will boot and also display on the remote display. Good news. Now I just need to figure out why the "[X] Do not show this message again" comes up every time.

Yeah I noticed that too. Maybe because power is removed from the unit entirely? Next time I jump up in the boat I’m gonna try shutting the unit down and then back on to see if it still displays

There is an error in the way the check mark shows up. Someone mixed a 1 and a 0 (speculation). Uncheck the box and the message will not show up again.
