NavNet TZtouch2 - Transducer list

I found the trandsucer compatibility matrix here:
https://www.furunousa.com/-/media/sites ... matrix.pdf

The marketing literature says:
"The built-in Fish Finder is a dual-frequency (50/200kHz), 600W/1kW power output sounder."

All of the 600w transducers listed as 50/200 and are compatible include ACCU-FISH, Bottom Discrimination, and RezBoost™.

Since the sounder can push 1kw, I looked at those too - there are none in the list (with a check mark) that are both 50 & 200 (there are 2x 50kHz, and 1x 200kHz, lines 6/21/22).

Questions:

1. Are there any 50/200 1kw transducers compatible?
2. Which is more important - 1kw > 600w or having ACCU-FISH, Bottom Discrimination, and RezBoost™?

I'm looking for a bronze or stainless thru hull for a fiberglass hull (non-fairing block models) with temp.

I'd recommend our 526TID-HDD which will give you all the features available at 1kW.
It comes with a fairing but a good installer should be able to flush mount it in a pocket.

Thanks

....ugh, more glass work. I have a delta pad (flat spot along the keel at the transom) where this could be done. But, my hope was a thru hull with built in angle so I could save the delta pad flat area for a DFF-3D transduder to be added at a later date when funds allow.

But, if I were to spend the money on the glass work required to install the 526TID-HDD, could that be removed and swapped for a 165T-50/200-SS260 at a later date?

The second of my questions is what everyones opinion - Which is more important - having 1kw or having ACCU-FISH, Bottom Discrimination, and RezBoost™?

The answer to your first question is best discussed with a professional installer. It might not be very easy to accomplish it.

To your second question the answer is personal judgement and need. However, as a fisherman I would much prefer higher power and a good transducer (multiple elements) over all those features you mention.

Thanks - when I mean "swap", I just meant are the housings the same size and shape and would therefore fit in the same fiberglass pocket.

With some research, I see that the 165T-50/200-SS260 says it is in the "SS260 housing":
https://www.furunousa.com/-/media/sites ... _guide.pdf
The SS260 housing is 8.5" long according to Airmar:
http://www.airmar.com/uploads/Brochures/b260.pdf

The 526TID-HDD also says it's 8.5" long:
https://www.furunousa.com/-/media/sites ... 0-dims.pdf

I would hope that means they are the same shape and fit in the same pocket.

Also, why isn't the 526TID-LTD/20 listed in the transducer compatibility matrix that I linked in post #1?

Any reason why this 1kW tilted thru hull won't work with a TZT2 12?

The tilted element will work, but not for accu-fish or bottom discrimination.

Thanks

Might just add the 526TID-LTD/20 and then add a 165T-B54 later.

My math says those two together are cheaper than a 165T-50/200-SS260.
