Navigation bar persistent

For the last month or more no matter whether or not I have a route engaged the navigation bar is present. Is this normal? Manual didn't have any mention of turning it on or off. The SOG is always 5.0knts, actually the date and time is the only metric that changes. When I engage a route all the info is good until I cancel or reach the point. The the pictured bar is there. Which serves no purpose when not navigating.

You have an open route on the plotter. It is normal. Just touch the Nav Bar to collapse the open route and make the Nav Bar disappear.......normal and maybe a little too simple.... :jump

I think you have to swipe up on the navbar after touching it a half second or two. Basically you have a route expanded on your plotter and the nav bar is giving you the planning for that selected route at a 5 knot cruising speed. If you had an activated route it would show data based on real data and have a "STOP" to stop the active route navigation. You can also have the bar go away by touching the open route (collapsing it to the capt wheel icon).

Okay thats a new one to me but I am new to TZT. So I need to keep the routes contracted to the wheel unless I am using it. 10 4
