Mounting SCX20 next to Open Array

I'm in the process of upgrading all of my electronics. I've installed a TZT 16X, TZT 10X and am now installing the SCX20. This will be used as navigation for the MFDs and for the NavPilot. I'm also upgrading to the DRS12ANXT/4 Open Array. I plan to install it exactly as the current Furuno 6kW is installed.

Can I mount the SCX20 in the location I have mocked up as shown in the pictures? It is approximately 8" from the radar base. The pole I currently have is 4" but I could mount it on a 1" pole to lower the SCX relative to the radar if that would help.scx20 2.jpegscx20 1.jpeg

Having it shadowed under the anything is never a great thing. While it is not in the radar beam, the single strength is going to be up and down as the radar array is in use and many signals blocked when it is entirely lined up like that. Not great plan. I would put it more forward out front but yet still out of the radar beam.

Thanks Johnny. I can't really move it forward but I could move it back around 10" or so along the same beam in the ttop to get it out from under the stationary antenna. Unfortunately I don't see a way to mount it on the ttop without being under the open array while moving.

I realize the signal strength will be up/down while the array is spinning. Do you think it would still be functional for use with the NavPilot?

Must stay at least 3 ft away from any VHF or AIS whip antenna.
You won't know until you try but having anything over the top of a Sat compass isn't recommended and likely to be problematic.
