MaxSea or PC Planner

I am new to the forum and Furuno for that matter. We have purchased a new boat that is equipped with three furuno chartplotters.

We have always had Garmin in the past. I have over 4000 waypoints that I would like to transfer. I was wondering which software would be the better option, MaxSea, or PC Planner.

Is it worth spending the extra money for MaxSea?

Thanks,

Blaine

I am guessing that you have a Vx2 or NN1 unit?
Each unit holds only 999 points so 4000 could not be loaded at one time.
If you have a Vx2 then PC planner would be a good bet. For NavNet 1, I would say www.andren.com with a data cable (USB-7PN-CBL),

Thank you.

I believe that they are Vx2.

I don't need them all on the plotter at once, just need to be able to load the ones for the different areas we are in.

Where can I find a USB-7PN-CBL cable you mentioned? I have tried to contact several dealers listed with no luck. Can I purchase it here?

Thanks,

Blaine
