Loss Of Screen Lighting for RDP149

I have a RED-149 Chart plotter that has an issue with the back lighting. Right now you can see the information on the screen but it is extremely dim. I have attempted to adjust the brilliance and hue placing it on the highest setting and it does not improve the lighting of the screen. Is there a troubleshooting technique to correct this or is it an indicator for a more serious problem?

If you have set the HUE to DAY, the BRILL to MAX, and the panel brightness to MAX then it is as bright as it goes. If yours is still not good, then it most likely has a backlighting issue that should be evaluated by your authorized dealer or the factory service center.
