Issues with TZTL12F and TZTL15F

I am experiencing some issues with my Furuno TZTL12F and TZTL15F systems, and I hope you can assist me in finding a solution.

1. Fish Finder Source Settings on the TZTL12F
Every time I turn on the TZTL12F, I need to manually go into the fish finder settings to reselect “TZTL12F” as the source. It seems that the device does not retain this setting after being powered off. I have ensured that I follow the proper shutdown procedure as outlined in the manual, but the issue persists.

2. Chart Display between TZTL12F and TZTL15F
While the TZTL15F displays the charts correctly, the TZTL12F does not show them, even though the two devices are connected via the network. Both systems appear to be properly configured to share data, but the TZTL12F seems unable to receive or recognize the chart information.

Has anyone encountered similar problems, or could you suggest the correct procedure to resolve these issues?

Thank you in advance for any advice or guidance you can

Gigi

Item #1 is likely because you are turning on the non-sounder machine (one that transducer is not connected to) first. If the unit powers up and the source device is not there or still booting and will cause deselection. That is what it sounds like is happening to you. Turn on the fishfinder MFD first and then the other. Ensure you have "Nicknamed" your units so it is clear which is which so the correct source is selected and stays selected as long as you follow the power up order.

Item#2. Know that charts are NOT shared over the network. Only unlock codes for licences are. Each unit has its own charts loaded (or should have) at the back of the display on a microSD chart card. It is likely the one unit is missing it card or has newer data than the other has licenced or something that prevents the map from being shown. First step, check to see if the chart card is inserted at the back of the machine. Someone might have snagged it.
