Hello,
I use a DRS4W and am quite satisfied with the performance of the device.
However, what bothers me is the following:
If I access the DRS4W with an iOS device, this is blocked for further applications. Although I can open a nautical chart in a separate window, important information such as AIS data, which is received via my router's WLAN, cannot be called up in this way because all other information is blocked by the connection to the SSID of the DRS4W .
Is it therefore possible that the SSID of the DRS4W registers with a router (or another device) and I can then use the router with the ios device to access all data provided by the router (radar, AIS, and other NMEA data) can access? What would like to be technically available to solve this problem. Or is there perhaps a workaround that has remained hidden from me so far?
