Internal Battery

can the internal battery on a GD-1920C model RDP-149 be replaced. I’m just trying to get thru the summer. Plan to upgrade my electronics over the winter months

YES, most Furuno dealers and the repair center can accomplish the battery replacement. While the manual says the battery should be changed every 3-4 years, we find they last closer to 8 years but if not changed it will lose all settings and points when turned OFF.

Is the battery replaceable by myself or does it need to be done by a tech.

Unless you know how to disable/assemble the unit and unsolder/solder components it would be something to leave to your local dealer.
