Installing Airmar B164 Tranducer to DFF-1? Need MB1100

I just picked a DFF1 and a B164 1000w dual element transducer. Do I need to use a MB 1100 box to connect it to the DFF1 or can I connect it directly to the DFF-1? The DFF 1 is going to be connected to an RDP149. NavNet Vx2

If the B164 has the Furuno 10-pin plug it can connect directly. If it has another plug you may be able to get an adapter cable from a dealer. The B164 is a diplexed transducer so a matching box is not needed.

If you just purchased it new it should have the proper 10-pin cable end on it.

The MB-1100 is designed primarily for non-diplexed Furuno made transducers. Airmar makes a box designed specifically for their transducers.

Thanks a bunch. I am installing it today. I assume that I need to follow the installation instructions to set the DFF1 to 1000w transducer and Navnet vx2?
