Installing a 165T-B54 flush into the vee, on a Grady 258.

I would like to install this 3D transducer right into the center of the vee, on my Grady 258. I would remove some glass, and bump out the hull for flush installation.
Any problems with this? It would be similar to the installation in the photo below, but the bump out would be much wider.
The vessel stays in a marina berth for 8 months of the year, but is trailered 2-3 times a season.

If the fiberglass work is done correctly, it will work great! This is what we did with our 28 Tidewater test boat.
525T-LTD/20 (B60), UDST800, 165T/275LHW-12P, and 455T-SS904.

Thanks for the info and images. I did find and study the Furuno how to video on youtube, it appears your installation is very similar. I now have to decide weather to install the B54 with the 2" stem, or the pocket mount version which is wider and uses small holes.

I also have a very similar installation in a pocket on the keel. Mine is completely flush with a very small amount of fill to fair the sides. It works great and gives a clear picture even at planing speed, though the PBG is speed limited. It should be pretty far aft if you want it to work on plane in a boat that size.
