I lose depth reading in LF and the bottom is a very poor quality sounding.
HF is perfect.
Is my transducer fried?

Coop,

I would default all your current sounder settings on all three pages, and see if that improves your sounder.

- Deep Blue :think

I have done default settings and a Master Reset.
I did accidentally leave the transducer running out of water for approx1hr.
I wonder if that would damage the elements in the transducer?

It shouldn't have hurt anything as long as it is a 600w transducer. If a 1KW transducer it might have overheated the elements and might need to be tested. You haven't said what sounder you are running or what transducer you have. It helps to know that. In general, it looks like the LF is very weak and should be evaluated with a transducer tester or sounder testing. It could be a configuration issue with the transducer setup in the wizard but we would need to know more about your system and the current settings in the wizard.

In my system I am running Airmar TM260 transducer connected to BBDS1 sounder.
The BBDS1 has a seperate on/off switch because it would not turn on when the mfd’s were turned on. That is a fault!
In the setup wizard I have selected 1kw-526T-HDD as the transducer.
I think my best option here is to remove the BBDS and transducer, send to Furuno for testing, and see what the outcome is.

Yes, if the transducer isn't hard to remove they can also test it at the service center. Sorry, I didn't notice you had several thread going on the same issue. I didn't connect the two threads. Yes, testing is a very good idea.

Ripped it all out and sent away to be tested.
Not as easy as i thought but…
The results will be interesting!
