How to use ipad with TZ3

I want to set up my ipad 5th gen to use with my TZ3 12inch. I loaded the Navnet view app on my ipad. My question is how do I pair it with the TZ3? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill

If they are both on the same wifi network they will connect.

If you're at home, they can both connect to your home wifi and work like that

on the water, you'll need the TzT3 to create its own wifi network, and the ipad connects to that.

You will need to go to the home page on the TZT3, then on the right hand side go to Settings > general > wireless lan settings > wireless mode > create local network

you should be able to connect your Ipad after changing to that setting.

Hope this helps! :D

I think you should look into the TZ Iboat app for the Ipad. It communicates with the TZT3 either over the TZT3's network or via the TZ Cloud - so you can create routes on the Ipad and they will move to the TZT3 without any loading. I think the app is free and you pay for the charts a small amount.

You need to turn on the TZT3 network as posters have instructed, locally. Also need to set up a TZ Cloud account and sign on with the TZT3 when you have internet access on the boat.

I don't have an Ipad, but have tried the NavNet viewer with an android and found it a bit slow, as compared to the Garmin viewer on a friend's boat.

Info on the TZIboat app is on the Timezero website and is available in the apple store.

From what I can gather the information sharing between devices with Navnet, wifi, and TZ Cloud is the best out there.

Cheers,

Keith
