how to drop a default point / marker from fish finder screen avoiding the event pop - up ?

How can I drop a point on the chart plotter from the fish finder screen without having to work through the pop-up event marker screen on the fish finder. I tried to set the default short and long touch defaults in the points set up; but I still get the event popup screen when I select new point from the fish finder. I do not get this pop up if I touch and select new point from the chart or the radar.

To set this up proceed as follows:
1. SETTINGS - POINTS and BOUNDRIES - EVENT - set DEFAULT EVENT MARK 1 SYMBOL and COLOR to the symbol and color you want to use.
2. SETTIINGS - GENERAL - TWO FINGER TAP FUNTION - set to EVENT MARK 1

To save a point at the present position two finger momentarily tap the FF screen to create the new event (point)

Thank you - I did not try the 2 finger tap set up; I was messing around with the single finger set ups.
