heading sensor

hello I have just purchased a TZT2 with a radar and did not realize that the chart over lay did not work with out a heading sensor. I have just bought a PB-500 opened it and realized it was NEMA 0183. Can i still use this?

You can still use it but you will need something to convert the NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000. (Like the Furuno IF-NMEA2k2) You might ask the place of purchase if you can return the PG500 to purchase the PG700.
