GPA017 vs older GPS Antenna

I replaced my 2006 GP-32 with a GP-39, which came with a GPA-017 antenna. My question is does the GPA-017 have my particular benefits over my old antenna, that appears to be working fine connected to the new GP-39. If no appreciable benefit, I would just as soon keep the new GPA-017 as a spare, rather than route the new cable. Thanks in advance for your time and insight.

I would continue to use your already installed antenna and hold the new one as a spare.
