Gp1971f Transducer

I just got a GP1971F and am looking for advice on what transducer I should get for it. I bottom fish in the gulf of Mexico out to about 400'. I also have a simrad with a tm185m so would a 50/200 transducer be my best option? I think I want a transducer that allow me to use all the features of the unit. Thanks for the help

what type of material is your boat and would you need a high speed fair block?

It is a 25’ center console. It’s fiberglass. I keep it on a trailer.

I would look at the 520-5MSD or the 526TID-HDD. Both have the ability to do bottom discrimination and do all of the other features. Me personally fishing in those depths of up to 400ft, I would pick the 520 over the 526 because I want a transducer with a wider beam width for a chance to pick up more targets.

Will these be ok with twin outboards?

I guess I should of asked that question when you said you had a TM185M, are you look for another transom mount transducer?

If so, you are kind of limited on what you can pick but I would go with this one. On if it will be okay with two outboards, that is going to depend on where you mount it and if you can find that "sweet spot" with clean water.
