GP 1971 update

HI guys, i am looking for the GP 1971 software update, can anyone direct me? its seems very cryptic to locate this.

The software was pulled due to a software bug. A new version should appear under the product page of the unit sometime today. We just received a corrected version.

Ive just done an instllation of a GP 1971 with a TM185m. The unit picks it up as a TM150m. (300w). Would you expect an issue?

That isn't right. You are 100% sure that the transducer is a TM185M? The Airmar TID chip is what identifies itself to the sounder. The TM150M is a 300w transducer and the TM185M is a 1KW. I would not expect the unit to give very good deep water performance. Do you see the TM185M in the setup for doing a manual selection? If it is a TM185M then i recommend you see if you can swap to manual selection and pick the correct model.

Johnny,so the one that is posted now has the software corrections? No revision number change?

Is was a minor revision change. Was version 3.00.01 and now something like 3.00.04 but yes the posted version is the corrected software. The problem software was removed few a few weeks. It is now replaced with this current version. Several customers have used it already without any problems so I know the download is good.

Hi Johnny Sorry for the late reply. Yes that is 100% correct a TM185M. Ive just installed a GP1971 with a P66 and it indicates it again as a TM150M.
No there is no TM185 options available t select. I see the latest update is up again i will follow up on that and see if it changes. thanks
