GP-1971 Operators Manual

Is there an operators manual for the GP1971?

I have lots of questions regarding specs, menu trees,etc. I’m looking a manual similar to the GP-1870 or FCV-588.

Also, please send the gps store in NC a demo model.

There is small installation manual that comes in the box along with a digital manual accessible via the unit. Japan hasn't provided a PDF version yet. I know the GPS store stocks the units so they should be able to demo one for you if they haven't sold out.

I googled it and found a pdf version, without the front cover but it appears to be it. And answering lots of questions.

I also sent Furuno Japan a request.

What’s are the differences from GP1870F? I can see the radar, GUI, digital manual, and micro SD cards. Looks like the same sounder and not the level of the FCV588.

The GP1x71F sounder has support for CHIRP and the GP1x70F does not.
The GP1x71F is touch screen and the GP1870F is knob and button control.
Other than both using C-map 4D type of charting; they have more differences than they are alike.

Japan has now provided us an Operator's Manual and an Installation manual for the GP1871F/GP1971F. They should show up on our website under the product in the next few hours.

They are now showing up. I noticed some other postings about this on the hull truth about this subject. As company employees we are not allowed to post to any forum other than our own. If someone could share the update with those guys, I would appreciate it.

Where do I look for the user manual for this GPS? not sure what sight I have to go into to find it. need to print it off. Found one with 90+ pages and wouldn't let me just print what I want.
