GP-1971-F & TM185 transducer

Recently purchased a TM185M transducer to support my GP 1971F, (I also use a GP1871 as my back-up).

The menu options do not allow for the TM185M. When I select the 1kw transducer option the depth reads 10 times or more actual depth. Also no temp sensor info. Using my 1871 with airmar 66 525ST PWC.

Somewhere on this forum, I saw suggestion to select B175. This was a post in 2019 from Johnny Electron.

Are there any updates since then?
Also having trouble getting ACCU FISH to work.

I just verified that the TM185M is a selection in the transducer list.
Version 3.01 added the option. We recently released version 4.01 as well. Sounds like you just need to update the software. Instructions and software link are on this page:

FishTech is 100% correct, as of latest software it lists the TM185M now (see attached).

Furuno isn't really known for frequent updates, so if an update is about to be released we generally post something in our News room and notify dealers. Our suggestion would be to just monitor the News room periodically or check in with your Local Authorized Furuno dealer.
