Fusion Apollo RA770 Networked with TZTXL 22?

Hi

Just installed my new 22" units and am trying to get FULL Fusion access on the MFD with my Fusion Apollo MS-RA770. I can get it connected through NMEA 2000, but only with the basic media bar at the bottom of the MFD appears. I then tried to connect my Fusion via ethernet, and I could not get it to work, even with adding a static IP on the Fusion head unit. Does anyone know how to get full fusion screen access (with artwork and misc zone volume controls, etc) on these new TZTX units ?

If for some reason you want to use Ethernet, the static IP Address to use in the Apollo is 172.31.100.1, subnet mask 255.255.000.000

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, tapping on the Fusion logo does expand it to fullscreen…. but I’m looking for a solution where I can get album artwork, and also have the ability for fusion screen to be displayed on various split screens as well. Ill retry with Ethernet connection and add the IP address you've outlined.
Do you know if what im asking for is possible via Ethernet ?
Thanks so much for the help

You got a pair of 22xl's installed? We could use pics!

Wow! Beautiful setup. I take it the initial screen delivery has now taken place? We have two 24's allocated to our build that is slated to be delivered before the end of May. This gives me hope!
We also have a Fusion 770 along with Starlink going in our boat so I am trying to figure out which connection will give us the highest quality sound for internet radio.

Thanks for the reply.

The album artwork can only be displayed with an Ethernet connection and in the "iPod" mode. I don't have a way to test other modes, but the iPod mode with USB connection to the radio will work. It appears that you'll need the Garmin Fusion Audio app for that to work too. The Fusion interface is only available in full-screen or Fusion-bar (minimized) modes; there isn't a split screen option.

Thanks Reaper
Dont want to use IPod as i stream from Iphone app…. but will the Artwork come from changing cabling from NMEA 2000 to the Ethernet through Hub 101? Just trying to confirm if there are any added benefits of wiring Ethernet vs NMEA 2000.
And finally, is there anyway in all of this
to get Fusion Link App to display on TZTXL displays ?

From all the information I've looked at, it appears that the only way to get album art from the Fusion radio to the TZT22X is via an Ethernet connection. However, the only mode that will display album art is apparently the iPod mode. You can try the other modes to see if any of them work, if you want to. If you do, please let us know because I don't have a way to test them here. NMEA2000 connection definitely won't send album art because it doesn't have the ability to transfer that type of data.
No. There is no way to display any external apps on the TZT display. The only way to display external video of any kind is via the HDMI input connection on the TZT22X.

So moved from NMEA 2000 to Ethernet with the IP/Mask info you provided and there was no additional features or data compared to N2K. I also tried USB IPod input and source which worked but still no artwork.

Unless im missing ill probably just got back to the N2K wiring

Thanks for the information. I'll pass this info on. As you may or may not know, Garmin owns Fusion radio. Not sure if anything has been changed in the Fusion software.
