Once again sir it is not quite clear what you are asking. However, if you are asking if temperature probes in transducers can go bad, then the answer is yes they can.

furuno 1670.in the beginning it shows the depth,..then no..depth no. why?

Either a bad transducer, bad unit, or someone made a setting change. I suggest you take it to a local Furuno dealer to check out.
