I have one of the 8000 series 25kw radars with the AIS module. All good seeing all marine traffic, but we cannot see ATONS, nor can we see fishing buoys that are using the ATON format. If they, the buoys, are using the marine vessel format, we of course can see those, but our understanding is that this is not legal usage of the AIS system. I know when these radar systems were built and designed ATON's weren't part of the scene. Now that they are, what will it take to get the Radar to display them?
